How to hide CallerID
There are two options:
- You can hide/replace CallerID for certain devices only;
- You can hide/replace CallerID for all calls terminated by a specific provider.
Hide CallerID for certain device
To hide CallerID per device, you need to put a fake CallerID in Device settings. There are two fields in the "CallerID" section.
If you want to change callerid to unknown/anonymous, you should try either:
- Set CallerID to 'Unknown' in Device settings
- Set Incoming Call CallerID Presentation: to Number Unavailable in Device settings Advanced Section
Hide CallerID for all calls terminated by specific provider
You need to use MOR Provider Rules for this.
An example of configuration can be found here.
The example shows how to replace CallerID, but you can also leave the "Add" field empty.
Hide CallerID for specific destination
Let's say we need to hide CallerID for all calls to destination 370.
Duplicate providers who allow this destination (create the same providers with identical settings).
In MOR Provider Rules, for all providers, set up the Rule:
Create a new LCR and add those providers to it.
Set up new Location Rule in Localization for Global Destination rule:
In this example, all calls going to Destination 370 will have CallerID = Anonymous:
