Cloud PBX devices

Cloud PBX lets you set up a lot of different devices. Let's take a look at some of the different connections we've built so far:

VoIP Phones are your standard SIP devices; YeaLinks, Polycoms, Aastras, etc. These are the primary endpoints for hosted PBX subscribers. Take a look at the configuration page:

To setup a phone, all you have to do is Name it, Assign it, give Kazoo the MAC address and pick a template. It's that easy. If you want more control we provide a host of advanced menus:

Cell Phones are part of the way people communicate and we would be remiss not to include them in our application. Kazoo Cell phones allow you to attach a cell phone to a user. This is essentially smart call forwarding to cells (not Cellular Operator control).

The basic settings allow you to attach a cellphone to a user and to provide the DID for that phone. Advanced options are as follows:

Require Key Press makes it so accepting a call to a cell requires the user to press 1. The reason for this is that if we don't have this key press to acknowledge receipt of the call, it will get dumped into the cellular voicemail and we won't be able to complete the callflow. If you would like the call to end in cellular voicemail, just uncheck this box. Keep caller ID will show the caller ID of the inbound caller to Kazoo, whereas unchecking will show the caller ID of the Kazoo account. Smart Phones

Many users have phones, and in a BYOD world your users will want access to your network. Here's how you can empower them, with Kazoo:

Eerily reminiscent of the Cellphone configuration from just a second ago, the Smart Phone configuration allows you to attach a phone number, but one is not required. It's the additional options that differentiate Smart Phones.

It's the WiFi calling that really matters. WiFi calling is a full set of SIP credentials for the Smart Phone for use with the built-in Android SIP stack, or any SIP application on any platform. If your smartphone does SIP, these are the codes you need to connect. Landlines

Landlines are functionally identical to cell phones, albeit less mobile.

Another popular option for Power Users is the desktop soft phone. Here we provide a simple set of SIP credentials backed up by the same advanced settings as our traditional SIP endpoints:

We support T.38 and SIP based fax, but we recommend utilizing fax to email. Take a look at the Fax Device settings here:
