We have noticed that when using GSM files, some users got "read too short" messages if the gsm file length was not a multiple of 33 (Size of gsm blocks). Try to switch gsm to ulaw or alaw codecs.
We have noticed that some customers receive "RTCP Read to short" message. Solutions:
 
a) Try switching from gsm to ulaw or alaw codecs.
b) Your network is under heavy load, try to reducing network load and see if you still get that message.
c) Switch to another PSTN.
d) RTCP "Read to short" message could appear if you are using Linksys PAP2-NA or Linksys PAP2-T with G729 codec.
